How did the Lodzermensch emerge?

In the 19th century, Łódź was one of the fastest developing metropolises. The new idea for the city that would be tightly connected to industry attracted more and more waves of migrants. Within just a few decades, Germans, Jews, and Poles created a town with a distinctive personality. Lesson participants will find out who came to Łódź in the 19th century, who the Lodzermensch was and what traces of the multicultural metropolis are still present in our city today. 

Lesson for primary (5th-8th grade) and secondary school students.
